OUR STORY: A PURPLE HEART VETERAN

Our Story: A Purple Heart Veteran

Erik Roberts is the founder and CEO of Prime Pickleball LLC. He began his career by serving as an infantryman in the 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army during the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Erik then led a Recon Infantry team before being severely wounded in combat and receiving a Purple Heart Medal.

During Erik's military service, an explosion in Baghdad completely severed his femur, and he was given only a 10% chance to keep his leg. After 14 surgeries, Erik's surgeons told him that he would never run again, but he vowed on CNN to one day run a marathon. After severe muscle loss and nerve damage, Erik fought to keep his leg. His determination not to give up but to succeed enabled him to run multiple marathons and later complete a 140-mile Ironman triathlon.

It was during his journey of recovery that pickleball entered Erik's life. Embracing the sport as a means of physical and mental rehabilitation, Erik discovered its therapeutic benefits firsthand. Pickleball gave him a sense of purpose, community, and joy, helping him rebuild strength, mobility, and confidence.

After his military service, Erik attended Vanderbilt University and Youngstown State University. Erik later earned an MBA from the prestigious Wharton School before founding Infinitus Wealth Management and Prime Pickleball.

Today, Erik continues to inspire others with his resilience and determination. His remarkable journey is a testament to the transformative power of pickleball and the human spirit. At Prime Pickleball, we're proud to be led by Erik Roberts, whose story exemplifies the resilience and strength that define our company values.
